About Wanderlusters Club Cruises Wanderlusters offers both 1-day and 2-day Club Cruises for members and their guests.
2-day Weekend Cruises depart Saturday morning and arrive at the destination port the same evening. Typically, the crew will enjoy a happy hour together upon arrival with shared food and drink, then walk to nearby restaurants for dinner and other activities, either as a group or solo. Most destinations have a swimming pool and bikes for rent. Sharon will decide ahead of time if there will be a cookout for dinner, or go to a restaurant. The crew spends the night on the boat, then sails for home in the late morning after breakfast. Generally, club cruises arrive back at home port in Annapolis, MD by 7:00 PM Sunday. Don't make plans Sunday evening because, depending on wind and weather, you could arrive at Annapolis after 7:00.
Full Day Cruises depart Saturday or Sunday morning and return home at 7:00 PM the same day. Bring your lunch or snacks and drinks to share. Cruises may also sail to dockside restaurants, so ask Sharon the particulars when you book. Alcohol consumption while under sail is not recommended for obvious safety reasons. In the past we have also led moonlight cruises and are planning to do so this season based on conditions.
Why sail on a Club Cruise? Club cruises are a great way to spend the weekend out on the water and socialize with other sailors. Escape the city and enjoy fresh air, summer winds, food, drink, and fellowship. Upon arrival, stroll through the streets of quaint destination towns like St. Michaels and Oxford. Enjoy pristine swimming pools and quiet beaches at Rock Hall and South Herrington Harbor. Watch the sunset while enjoying conversations and happy hour on the boat before heading out for dinner. Wake up to the sound of seagulls, light breezes, and the breathtaking sunrise.
